Sean McGrath just issued a plea in IT world (reiterated by Joe McKendrick) for some simple pictures that everyone could associate with SOA. As it happens, I had been discussing this very question with David Sprott only last week. David has now posted a selection of pictures for Communicating SOA onto the CBDI website.
Meanwhile, I have put a few selected SOA pictures from my CBDI articles onto Flickr, with the tag "serviceoriented". (I looked at the "SOA" tag, but it is already overloaded with other meanings.) Here is the link to my Flickr page. I intend to add some more pictures in due course.
